Project Never Broken was founded in August 2021 in the aftermath of the ambush and murder of Det. Greg Ferency, a 30-year law enforcement officer and FBI Task Force Officer. From this tragedy, a powerful mission was born: to make Greg’s life and legacy live on through something bigger and profoundly positive.
Cruise with a Purpose is a floating conference designed exclusively for first responders and their significant others. Honoring Greg’s badge number, #129, our goal is to raise $832,050 to fund participation for 645 first responders and their partners (645 + significant other= 1290 first responder couples), at a cost of $1,290 per couple.
Many first responders suffer in silence. Stigma, fear of professional consequences, and a culture of toughness keep them from seeking help. Cruise with a Purpose is designed to be a safe, stigma-free space where healing and connection happen.
According to the 2024 Project Never Broken Newsletter (read here), the need for focused, compassionate care for first responders is more urgent than ever. With rates of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and burnout at all-time highs, traditional interventions are often out of reach or inadequate.
Project Never Broken has already made a significant impact through community outreach, education, and support services—and Cruise with a Purpose will build on that momentum by providing immersive, transformational care in an environment designed for relief, connection, and growth.
